My name is Tomasz Nowicki. I am a Polish photographer living in the UK, East Midlands. I specialise in Portrait photography. It always amazes me that no matter how many shots of the same face I take - it always look different.
I started my love with photography about 15 years ago - this is when my brother bought his first camera - I was fascinated about the fact that it can register a moment on a piece of paper - this was pure magic to me.
My first camera was a Mamiya 645 - medium format film eater. It was big, heavy and very cool - I loved that vintage look and the feel of it.
After a few months of using my medium format monster I bought my first digital camera - a point-and-shoot Nikon Coolpix. This is where the fun began for me - finally I could take as many photos as I wanted and not worry about the cost of the film.
This camera was with me everywhere I went - I took photos of everything that I found interesting.
One day I was invited by one of my friends to a photoshoot in his studio. This is where I fell in love with portrait and the magical power that allowed me to control the light.
